Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner my classes will challenge you to evolve and refine your practice. My style is light-hearted and modern, but deeply influenced by advanced studies in Neuroscience, Medicine, Anatomy, Psychology, and other Health Sciences. I apply techniques from these disciplines to enhance my clients’ strength, flexibility, coordination, sensory perception, and mindfulness. I will never teach the same class twice. Instead, I tailor each session to match the needs and interests of the people (and the bodies) before me. I teach a range of formats including: deeply, restful restorative classes; stretchy vinyasa-less feel good classes; and challenging creative flows. Expect to breathe, to move, to (sometimes) sweat, and to (always) let go. No matter what format you choose, the combination of movement and relaxation techniques will leave you feeling physically engaged, mentally renewed, and empowered to take on whatever life throws your way.
Yoga has been an integral part of my life since 2003. I was initially drawn to the physical art and challenge of yoga, but now relish in its other health and wellness benefits. Out of the desire to know more and develop a more sustainable practice for myself, I enrolled in Moksha Yoga Chicago’s 200-hr Teacher Training Program in 2010. Ever the “degree” junky, I immediately enrolled in Moksha’s Advanced Teacher Training Program and was soon minted Moksha’s first 500-hr graduate. Over the years I have practiced and trained with an eclectic mix of over 30 master teachers across the globe, but many of my deepest influences are amongst Chicago’s greatest. My practice and my teaching are ever evolving as my students and I flourish, fail, and explore together.
